1965-1973 Ford Mustang Trivia Quiz

The standard motor for the 1970 Mach1 was the 351-2V "H" code.

It's a 1967 Playboy Pink Mustang.  The two fake vents in the rear quarter panel give it away.

It's a 1973.  The side stripe with Mach1 toward the rear quarter panel is the dead giveaway.

It's a 1966 Mustang - the dead giveaway is the 3-finger emblem on the rear quarter panel.  Note that not all 1966 Mustang's featured this emblem - GT and Fastback models omitted them.

It's the 1965 - the rear quarter vertical emblem gives it away.  By the way, Poppy red was actually orange in color.

With the exception of the Boss 351, all 1971 Mustang V8 engines were available in the Mach1.  The 351-4V R Code High Output was only available in 1972.

The 1969 Mach1 came standard with the 351-2V (H) Windsor while a 351-4V Windsor (M) was optional.  The 390 GT (S) was carried over from 1967 and 1968 while the 428 CJ (R or Q) was the largest performance option. Both the Boss 302 and Boss 429 were not available in the Mach1, rather in their own Mustang line.

First generation Mustangs were made in Dearborn, San Jose and Metuchen.  Wixom primarily manufactured Lincolns and Thunderbirds.

It's a 1969 Shelby - 1970s Shelby's featured dual painted black hood stripes along with a Boss front lower chin splitter.

It's the 1968-year only California Special.  The California Special wouldn't appear again until 2005.

Shinoda is considered the father of the Boss 302.  Did you know that his first job was actually with the the Ford Motor Company?  He left Ford, went to Packard and General Motors before coming back to Ford.

It's a 1965 Shelby GT350.  1966 Shelby GT350s used the same body style, however had clear rear quarter windows rather than the finned extractors.

The Mustang Grade was offered from 1969-1973 and only on the coupe.
